Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Imersys collects through this website, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

Who we are
Imersys Ltd ("Imersys", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England and based in North East England, working with clients across the UK and beyond. You can reach us about anything in this policy — including any request about your data — at hello@imersys.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
The only place this site asks for personal data is the contact form. When you use it we collect:
- Your name — so we know who we're replying to.
- Your email address — so we can reply to your enquiry.
- Your company (optional) — for context on the enquiry.
- What you're trying to build — the enquiry itself.
- Budget range (optional) — to help us suggest a sensible next step.
- Whether you'd like a demo, and whether you opt in to occasional product updates — only if you tick those boxes.
Our legal basis for handling your enquiry is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch. If you tick the marketing-updates box, the legal basis for those emails is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time — every update includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us.
To protect the form from spam and abuse we briefly process a one-way hashed form of your IP address (we never store your raw IP). It is used only to rate-limit submissions and is discarded within 30 days.
We plan to add an AI chat assistant to this site in future. It is not live yet — when it is, we will update this policy first to describe what it processes.
Cookies and similar storage
We use no tracking or analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party tracking on this site — privacy is part of how we build.
The cookie notice you may have seen uses a small piece of your browser's local storage to remember that you've dismissed it — that is not a cookie and is never shared with anyone. If we ever introduce a strictly-necessary cookie (for example, to secure a form submission), it would be exempt from consent requirements and we would describe it here.
Who else is involved
We keep third parties to the minimum needed to run the site:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts the site and its database, and sends our email (Amazon SES), all in the London (eu-west-2) region. Your contact-form submission is stored and emailed to us through AWS.
- Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts — serve the typefaces this site uses. When your browser loads a font, those providers receive your IP address as part of the request. They do not set cookies for this, and we share nothing else with them.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form enquiries for 24 months from when you send them, after which they are deleted. The hashed IP used for spam protection is discarded within 30 days. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. Just email hello@imersys.co.uk and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
